R-Spec Shocks / Suspension

Just wanting to know from BF F6 R-Spec owners, or those that have driven an R-Spec, how much better this suspension setup is than the standard F6 stuff that FPV give us. I remember reading in the mag's long ago that it was a fair jump over the standard F6 stuff... But I suppose that's subjective.

Reason I ask is there is a set of F6 R-Spec shocks on ebay at the moment at (to me anyways) a really good price.

Yes, I know they probably arent a patch on a Koni or Tein or Bilstein, but they also aren't $1200 for a set... So they seem a reasonably priced upgrade if they are as good as the old magazine write ups suggested they were... But just wondering of opinions from people who have driven and lived with them.

They're crap. The front suspension is listed as:

- Trakpak suspension components. Performance independent double wishbone front suspension and 'The F6 R Spec exhibits much faster turn-in, better mid-corner response, improved roll control,

greater transitional stability and overall balance.'

They seem to clap out after a while and need re-sleeving. You're better off just rebuilding you're existing ones (if it's cheaper) otherwise go get em; as you said, much cheaper than coilovers :spoton:

I was under the impression that it is essentially the same suspension with a slightly higher spring rate / valve pressure.

I basically think that you would see the same benefits by using a lowered & higher spring rate King Spring combo for roughly the same money...!

Plus one for 520 lb front and 310 lb rear Kings and Bilstein combo. that's what I have with whiteline bars, its really nice.

Call Pat at Wholesale Suspension and he`ll send it all to you cheap as chips. maybe even some decals too..
