Just got home from this then. IT WAS PACKED.

Spotted Full Monty and his missus and said gday.

Didn't stay long as the little guy needed a bath and off to bed.

The carpark was pretty much full and the queue of cars waiting to still get in was out onto Burwoo Hwy.

Some awesome cars there, hopefully someone got some pics of them all.

Cheers

JR

Is this similar to the coolstores meets? More old school stuff.

Coolstores are first tuesday of the month, also not bad for a look.

HI EVERY ONE

Well where do i start,

On Tuesday night we held the Knox December – Christmas cruise night, the sun was shining a nice warm 29 degree day just perfect weather to go cruising, so what a night it was going to be and after last month we decided that we should get there early just in case we had a repeat of last month,

We arrived and to our amazement they had started to arrive early before we even got there, that early that we arrived around 4-30 and there where already 50-60 cars already parked inside so we knew we were going to be in for a big night, well let me tell you it was a big night bigger than any car show or car event i have ever been too or seen in my 35 years of going to these sort of events and let me tell you i have been to plenty of them, yes so big that we had the president and committee from the Mornington cruise come along to see how big the Knox cruise night has become, i know some of the committee who are long time friends of mine so i said to them what have you come to see how a real cruise night is held, LOL, the boys laughed and said what a sensational and great night it was.

So they started coming in car after car after car, hot rods, street machines, bikes, Holden’s, fords, GT’s. Monaro’s, Cadillac’s, Chevy’s, Combi van’s, Buick’s, Lamborghini’s, you name them they where there, they came from all over, Geelong, hoppers crossing, Frankston, Cranbourne, from everywhere, the Knox car park filled quickly so quickly we had to start turning cars away by 7-30 and send them into the tri level car park just beside us, we even had cars cruise around Knox just waiting un till we found more spaces in side so we just kept cramming them in so much so that, wait for it we had well over 1000 plus cruisers and hundreds of spectators come in on Tuesday night yes that right well over 1000 what a fantastic night it was and to have that many mussel cars, bikes, hot rods, in one place and yes you guessed not one bit of trouble, ever one had a great night.

I must apologies and thank all those who we just couldn’t get inside and also to the shopper’s who missed out on a car park too and where very understanding about the situation and even gave a donation for charity,

Street Machine say that Sydney has the biggest cruise night going around because they get 300-400 car’s, I’d just like to declare and i may be a bit brash about this and a bit one eyed, so i’m going to say that the Knox cruise night is not just the biggest cruise night in Victoria but i’m going to say that the Knox cruise night may even be the biggest cruise night in Australia and i’m very proud of that because a lot of money is raised from all of you out there and your gold coin donations and how much it has helped EACH Halcyon supporting mental health in Victoria,

I just have one question and that is when will the commissioner of police, the Victorian Gov, the radio stations, TV stations, the so call news reporters, even some of the car magazines, when are going to actually get off their asses and come and see how Hoon's can get together and have a great time and raise so much money for charity and stop reporting that hoon's are bad and start reporting on all the good things hoon's do, For example showing and teaching the young P plater how to take pride in their cars and to do the right thing when driving on the road,

As per usual the Knox Rotary Group did there bit in keeping the masses fed with their great tasting sausage sizzle so much so that they run out of everything by 8-30, the Rotarians sold over 800 sausages and over 600 cans of soft drinks what a fantastic effort on their part raising more money for other charity’s that come under the Rotary banner,

It is also great see how many are going over to the Knox O Zone and the Knox tavern to have a sit down dinner and make a night of it with their family and kids, (great effort keep supporting the locals)

Oh gee, i can’t forget to tell you that even Santa and his elf dropped in to say hello to all the kids and all the big kids to wish everyone a merry Christmas, HO HO HO everyone

I would personally like to thank the following for their continued support,

Knox shopping center and Management

Knox Rotary

Knox O Zone

And special thanks to Southern Street Machiners and their members who worked so tirelessly on Tuesday night,

SOUTHERN STREET MACHINERS

Hoon laws apply

Regards
