Hi Guys,

As the topic states, thinking of getting a set of 4 pot brembos off an FG for my BF. Can someone tell me exactly what I need to do, to fit these to a BF? do I need to get brake lines made up for a BF or can I use the FG ones? What about mounting brackets? or am I just better off getting a set of BF ones?

yeah have to swap calipers to opposite side bracket and make sure the cross over pipe is at the bottom and the bleeder at the top.. the fg brake lines are the same length a BA/BF but have different mounting brackets plugs between BA-F to FG where they mount on the suspension up right.. it can be done as I have seen it with 6 pot brembos from FG go on BA/BF's.. if you look on ebay at the moment they have original mounting brackets from BA/BF 4 pot brembos so it would bolt up the way it should if you got them. :beerchug:

If I buy the BF mounting brackets, will this mount the caliper on the front of the hub as the original BF calipers do, or will it mount it at the rear like the FG calipers?

Yeah mate if you buy the ba/bf bracket they will be exactly the same as any other ba/bf with brembos sitting at the front of the hub.. Even if you get the fg brackets they will still mount at the front too that's why you have to swap the brackets over. :beerchug:

oh beauty! is there any point in getting BF brackets then, or just use the FG ones? If I use the BF brackets do I still need to do the rest to get these to fit?

nar mate if you can get the BF brackets mate they will bolt to the proper side and easier to sort out and you wont have to change anything will just bolt straight on, but if you use the Fg bracket you will have to do the change over.. you can always sell the Fg brackets after and get your money back. as far as I am aware you cant buy the brackets seperate only come with the caliper, so worth buying IMO. only other thing you will need BF hose's for the brembo caliper.. you can get braided goodrige hoses from race brakes sydney that's where I ordered a set from for 160 delivered. hope this helps mate.

yeah mate wont have to swap anything over if you get the right brackets for your car..you can use the FG hoses if you want mate, and hold the hose in place with dodgy cable ties, but the rubber on the hose that is suppose to clip into the bracket on the suspension up right, the rubber is a diferent size and shapeon the FG to the BA/BF so the hose wont be secured properly... I like to do things properly that's why I reccomended it mate, up to you your car.. cheers
