Hi Guys ,

Just got a BA MKII and was wondering what mods you can do without having to tune and if its even worth it? I will be getting it tuned down the track when the minister for war and finance eases up a bit.

Some easy mods that dont require a Flash Tune.

Put your cap on Backwards (chicks in bankstown love that)

A massive "Unit" Sticker. (adds around 5 RWKW)

Supercheap Spinner dress rims

and an Electric PC fan supercharger system from Ebay !!! :buttrock:

You could go a better Inter cooler, just be careful which type though.

Might I suggest a Process West stage 1. http://www.processwest.com.au/website/prod_xr6t/pw_product_fordxr6_stage1ic.htm

Its bar and plate so it doesn't flow a whole lot better which is what you want if you are not getting a tune.

However it will cool heaps better giving you cool day performance even when its hot.

If you wanted to be sure you could just get your mixtures checked after fitting.

John.

A decent cold air induction will make a difference.

Also centre muffler out for $100, adds some noise and a rumored 10rwkw.

Dose pipe for wank factor, won't affect performance much.

Hdi cooler.

wouldnt put a generic tune on my car, it was designed for another car, no cars are the same might hurt some components of your car, get custom tune !

Are your valve spring causing problems already on stock power mate?

And for my 2 cents worth, just get K&N panel filter and F6 Lower intake for the airbox. Then plan the power you want, start buying the parts bit by bit (keep an eye on the forum for second hand parts) and get your tune. Take a read over my signature for mods ideas if your chasing around 300rwkw, but go for a better cooler than the F6 cooler.

Cheers

Richard
