I have heard of exhausts being fitted as part of optional extras by dealers, just wondering if any dealers have relationships with tune shops & allow minor mod's & custom tune etc....Thanks Edited 09/12/10 03:13 AM by nxr06

Rusty XR6T Donating Members 516 Member For: 14y 10m 8d Gender: Male Posted 09/12/10 04:02 AM Share Posted 09/12/10 04:02 AM Nizpro buy all their factory parts from them, the Nizpro drag car is sponsored by them and whenever you talk to the service department about modding your T they refer you to Nizpro.I am by NO MEANS saying that Etheridge Ford will warrant mods that Nizpro do, my original statement of "Just keep in mind ALL modifications MAY VOID WARRANTY, it is purely at their discretion and at the end of the day your taking a gamble!" still stands

Dont know of any Ford dealers that will do that. Edited 09/12/10 06:06 AM by Erko

You play you pay. That said window switches or all other faults completely unrelated to mods should be fixed under warranty. Says so in Frauds own handbook
Guest XR09 Guests Posted 09/12/10 06:36 AM Share Posted 09/12/10 06:36 AM Wonder how they get around it. I believe Ford tech has to approve all warranty work for the dealer to be paid. We have to do that with bikes as well. And take pic's. But if we have sold them the cans and PC and serviced it. Then we just don't mention that fact when we call up to get an approval #On a side note. Is Ford lifting their game on the service side. I went in yesterday because my Ipod lead fell apart at the Ipod end. Thought for sure they would just pin it back on me. Nope. Mr nicey nicey. They could not have been more helpful or nice. Even asked if the rattles were still there and would I like them to look at it. Seriously I ate humble pie.
