im planning on aiming for 450rwkw on my std fg f6 bottem end, I will be running e85 to get this, and I want an extremely agressive tune.

basically in short, is this a stupid idea or am I asking a question that has been done to death?

what are the fg f6 rods like? can they handle it?

less then a hand full of people on this forum have blown an fg f6 motor under 500rwkw. So I cant say its safe, but it IS way more reliable then the ba-bf motor.

Again, its as safe as your tuner is.

if I was u I'd get a set of aftermarket rods eg: spool rods and billet oil pump kit, if u want to do it write. that's my 2 cents

look at fg rods and a set of aftermarket rods, eg: look in 'haydens rebuild' thread. then make your dessision, end of the day fg short motor is stock.. good luck mate, n dont take my comments the wrong way. kind regards Jimmy

What so the FG F6 has stronger rods again over the BF F6? There still probably tiny in comparison to forged items, I wouldn't risk it.

I reckon that if the motor is out, put big rods in. the jobs half done once its out. $1000 is cheap insurance.....
