My additional final comment on this is that in my experience it has helped me in resale, as the people who have bought my cars have all commented how good the paint is after 4 years. If you've got better things to do with $900, then go for it.

Posted 13/12/10 02:35 AM Share Posted 13/12/10 02:35 AM In my opinion its not worth it. Things like Droppings are not covered by the warranty anyway. As Pete said above you still need to look after it with correct wash techniques and general maintenance. You will still get swirls and scratches even with paint protections and how good the gloss looks is all down to the owner. Paint protection as any sealant will do, will make it look glossy with a deep lustre in the finish when you pick it up and for a few weeks but will fade after a few months as the protection wears away. There are super sealants out there that claim to last 2-3yrs but in every day conditions the protection is greatly reduced.Get your self a good wash kit and a decent sealant and set aside an afternoon every few months for a detail (possible clay, paint clean and cleanse and reapply the sealant. Polishes maybe once or twice a year but that's a whole new discussion) and a give it a wash fortnightly. If you really want to push the boat out pick up a wax to layer on the sealant. You will get a wet look shine from the sealant and deep reflections and gloss from the Wax. Nitro is an awesome colour.
