For what reason/s would you consider transflective LCD's a gimmick? What technology is being used in this unit to make it "genuine sunlight readable"?

well I guess you could compare transflective to gps in an iphone, they say its GPS, everyone thinks its GPS yet it has never recieved a lat and long fix from a satellite in its life :bangcomputer:

This unit like everything the company I work for sell have no gimmics, the brightness of the LCD panel is 1000cm/2 whereas a normal LCD is around the 250cm/2 mark.

I know transflective sort of work in the sun, but when you have direct sunlight glaring directly onto the panel head on you get the same symptoms of a normal LCD, whereas this unit will operate as per normal and look just as good in direct head on sun light.

Anyway I have this great piece of kit available and was just seeing if anybody was interested. :spoton:
