Hi guys,

I have DBA 5000 rotors and 4 pot brembos fitted to the front of my BA ute, I have done approx 7-8 track days on them and have noticed lots of small cracks (direction from the hat to the outer edge of the rotor). They work great still, however I do have my concerns. Any ideas??

They are wiper slotted

What temp have they reached, you can check by the colour change paint.

My experience with my 4000 series is they have these same cracks from doing track days and have had for close to 18 months with no signs of ill effects. My brakes still perform just as good as they always have and haven't got any worse than my first track day.

If you want to be sure then give Matt at Races Brakes a call.

Thanks for ideas fellas. Good point about the change in color I will check. My 5000's operate as good now as they did 2 years ago with these small cracks. I will give Matt a call to confirm that these samll cracks do not become an issue. Cheers
