So I went to the local car wash place and firstly degrease the engine, and then a rinse. Now all was done at low pressure and tried to avoid important areas, I've washed the engine a few times before and never had a problem..After I rinsed it I start the engine and all is good, I let it dry up for a few mins, I jump in and notice the exhaust note changed. It sounds like its got a fully sick Cam. its revving a touch higher and when I go to take off it sorta jerks forward. I drive home and notice its down on power off boost, didnt want to get it on boost as in my head im expecting it to blow up..It did get worse the closer I got to home. Now obviously water got into somewhere, coil packs? If I let it dry will it be ok, or are they rooted?Cheers Mike. Edited 02/12/10 04:32 AM by MiKa

Worm A much better forum Silver Donating Members 3,808 Member For: 16y 7m 6d Gender: Male Location: Victoria Posted 02/12/10 07:54 AM Share Posted 02/12/10 07:54 AM There may also be residue in the well on top of the spark plug... Use a hairdryer and blow/dry it...This will cause it to misfire just like when you wet the dizzy on an old machine! It should be perfect again once dry! Next time dont use high pressure water on the plastic over the coils! It's a good way to give them a short life!!! And blow your engine
