Whincup is an extremely talented driver & always entertaining to watch. I wouldn't actually be surprised if he manages to take the championship this year. Winterbottom is still in with a mathemetical chance. Hope he does well next year he's had a bit of bad luck this season.

HellI will drive falcon for free but only way to get meIn a crummydore would be in a herse. Steven Richards will never replace his father and same with the likes of Steven Johnson. Both have wasted good opportunities for other more talented drivers with greater desire to win from being in there cars. Should be good with Will joining Frosty. But poor DJR need to find to top level drivers if Courtney abandons Djr. Didn't djr pay Courtney 1 mill for this season. Isn't that enough. I think it's so disrespectful if he does go as Djr pay him the most he had ever been contracted to and gave him a car to take this championship which he would have done by now if it wasn't for his stupid restart at gc mind you penalties that weekend seemed a bit biased considering Tanders withdrawal of mechicsl black flag for leaking fluid and none for the lose body work. As well Kelly putting steven Johnson and slade? In the wall And no penalty etc eta. I feel it's low as Djr have struggled for many years now and put a lot on the line for Courtney and this is how he may repay Djr. If so hope carma gets him just as Murphy copped it after taking Ambrose out at Bathurst. Don't think murph has won a race since. Sorry for big rant, just adding my 2c worth. So what or who is next on gmh list to buy so they may have chance of winning a championship. Maybe they may pay the master r Kelly to take out Courtney so whincup gets the champ for them. It's possible as it's happened before. Half as many fords to Holdens and we still are the dominant make. Go ford

I cant see him taking a V8 seat, I think he will focus on his F3 team and try and help more young Australians get into F1.If I was Courtney, I'd want to leave DJR too. Unfortunately DJR seem to have ownership issues. I hope they are not heading back toward extintion as they were in 2009. I dont think Courtney has had a great car to drive since joining V8's. Obviously I would have preferred to see him at FPR rather then HRT.I honestly have to say I support drivers before brands nowadays.

He was very pleasant and was around at all the events mingling with us insurance brokers etc. After a couple of JD's I couldnt help myself, so while a couple of us were sitting around the table chatting with Jamie I asked the question "why did you do it man??!!". Of course I know why he did but I couldnt help it, he was my favourite for the past few years now and was dissapointed when he left.He responded with the typical media response for about one minute, "it was a strategic move for the team blah blah blah". He saw the look of bordem on my face, he then said, "Mate, Im sorry, I really am, management make these decisions and just like any corporate company, we follow the dollars and SUPPORT". He emphisised 'support' quite clearly which was an obvious grudge to carry. He did bag the VE's a bit saying that they are a b!tch to drive because of the aero etc.Jamie is a great guy making $1m+ a year. Not many of those people around.

And I genuinely believe he hasnt had a great car compared to the 888's and HRT of V8 Supercars.Courtney in my opinion didnt take over a Championship winning car when he entered the V8's. He more so took over from a Championship winning driver in Marcos Ambrose. One of the best touring car drivers this country has created. His first couple of seasons with SBR were difficult. He was trying to over drive a difficult car which resulted in his poor performances. As with Ambrose, Courtney has finished higher than his team mate every year he's been in the V8's.The DJR car has really dropped off the pace toward the end of this season. If the car was a gun, you would be seeing better results out of Jnr Johnson. He looks to finish outside of the Top 10 this year. With Adrian Burgess (Courtneys engineer) moving over to 888 next year, I can see the DJR cars becoming a dud next year.Courtney is a class driver. He may have more credentials as a professional driver then anyone else on the grid. Dont forget, if he hadnt pissed Bobby Rahal off by destroying the Jaguar F1 car in testing, he may be an F1 driver by now. He's the only World Champ currently driving a V8 Supercar.
