Engine light? Run away..

Oh and dealer warranties (not factory warranties) arn't worth the paper there written on. Yeah make sure you get one but don't consider it a main factor when negotiating or expect much from it when something breaks.

yep. what he said.

most dealers will cover up to $1k or $1.5k for each warranty claim only. You have to have them fix it, and all your servicing has to stay with them or its void. Basically, they will rip you off fixing it, and then rip you off again servicing it.

And they could start replacing all sorts of gear 'trying' to fix the engine light problem, racking up a $6k bill...oh, but they'll cover $1.5k of that under "warranty".

Run away. Far far away. And never return....

yeah I was like a bit iffy on that light...the warranty though allows me to go to my mechanics and labour and parts are included...also on the topic, what could cause the engine light to come on for future reference?

selling points for me is its got f6 style gauges in the center console, FPV rims, FPV bonnet and Wing, lowered, full exhaust and heat wrapped, possibly aftermarket intercooler and in blue :D....but these are things that I found out not what the dealer has told me

I'd be looking at all that stuff as things you don't necessarily want, and that it will cost you to have them removed. that's what I would be telling the dealer anyway.

I've told the dealer about these problems now they say they will recitify the issue, but if that light still comes on I most likely turn the deal down...but can anyone tell me why that light might come on, and only when at full throttle?....could it be overheating or not enough air etc?
