Gave the car a poke (3/4 throttle) on the way back from the shops for 30-60kph braked, heard the car run funny like it was a cylinder short a couple of bangs sounded like something dropped into the engine bay, car shut down.

I rolled down a side street, now my car wont start.

Checked most of hoses and electrical connections last night, there are no oil leaks

Then tried starting it this morning and a single backfire came from the exhaust and then nothing. all the belts are turning over,

Will check cylinder compressions tonight.

Plugs should tell me if its a piston/ring issue

Injector?

Fuel Pump?

Valve springs?

Bad batch of fuel?

Coils?

I have ran 2 OBD2 scan tests all reported no errors

Ideas?

Had a look tonight, no compression in 1st & second cylinder, noticed a few bent valves on the intake side with a 4mm gap. Wondering if timing chain skipped a few teeth, I might take the timing cover off to see if the sprockets marks match up on the timing chain.

Khunts pull burnout run 300kw on 15 psi miss detonate and turn to sh*t at high rpms with less mods than I yet there car are fine, why did mine sh*t itself at 3500-4000rpms if that :banghead: :crybaby:

1500-2K job me thinks.

May as well upgrade springs/ actuator while there at it. who in Melb to people recommend East/SE Melb to fix it.

:stupid: the power is not the issue, it's the tune. ive been running 350 then 330 with a high stall for a while, but my tuner kept the timing tame, although the boost is high.

Once a mechanic has the head off will they know if a rod is bent. Is there any way to find out definitively without pulling the head off?

Tune got done on 15/11 by Bullet Performance Racing.

I ran it on Pit Lane Performace's dyno on the 25th with the results below.

I think to check to see if a rod is bent they need to take the sump off? someone correct me if im wrong. Mine did the same sort of things yours has, half throttle at 30+ k's, hit boost, went bang and shut down, turned back on and the conrod had bent and a piston snapped. Good luck with yours though, hope its not that bad.
