Im looking at getting a 2.5" twin xforce catback for my ba xr6 turbo and I was wondering with just the catback will I need to get it retuned? ive heard from some people that I wont because the catback does nothing but add bit of noise which is all im after ne ways. but would be good if someone could clear this up because I dont want overboosting.

The car is an 04 xr6t 5speed with HDI Cooler, under battery air intake and process west cross over and custom tune.

Not sure if I'm correct, but I think it's to do with over boosting which in turn puts the car in limp mode? But I may be thinking that this is the case with dump + cat

Normally it's just a cat that throws it out. But pay the $50-60 too throw it on a dyno and check the afr's as it may have been tuned more on the lean side to start with.
