as mentioned in 5000 threads, just stick with Castrol transmax Z.. its been tried and tested in 400+kw cars more than 12 months ago and their still working!

that's good enough for me.

The other brands seem to unsure with themselfs, castrol isnt "spec'd" either but vertainly does a good job. and if my old t56 is anything to go by, totally transformed the shift quality from clunky sh*t to smooth and quiet. its magic that stuff.

Spoony, you seem confident of your own knowledge and actions, good to see. Would be good to hear of an alternative to Transmax. Nulon still Australian?

KS- why would you want an alternative, its fking good, and not that pricey considering how long it lasts, and the difference it makes to boxes is worth every penny.

want an alternative? use genuine @ $80 a litre...

Trough I own a 1.6 Turbo Diesel Peugeot and a NA 2lt Audi, neither are sporty or require the upkeep that my moded XR6T did.

I did however run Nulon engine oil and Transmax in my T56, I agree it is good (at least in the T56). However this guy seems to have done his homework and without any compelling reasons why he should not, I say go for it.

That is all.

Genuine is OK for stock HP but don't even think about it if you have anything above STD or you do Track work.. The genuine Oil will cook in no time.

Gulf must have paid the ZF testing/approval costs, which others CBF'd or see fit to do. Given the various brands are the same/similar rated fluids, and most of them actually better spec wise than the stock stuff, most of all peoples big concerns are surely hype/talk/myth and likely partly pushed on by Frauds attempts to force people to pay for their liquid gold.
