So is it plain outright sh*t or is just the calibration sh*t?

Like burgundy said what difference does it really make if you have 20 on the display instead of 22? The climate in the BF was exactly the same so it's not an FG thing.

I usually have it on 19.5 when suited-up for work but wouldn't find the same 'temperature' comfortable with the home or work A/C on the same setting.

Turncoat

Scathing attacks

Build a bridge

Honda this

Rocket surgery

all classics and very funny :innocent:

But no need to be so defensive fellas.. The AC in the Ford is(just plain) sh*t compared with other cars we have owned. Its alright, take a deep breathe

It dosent matter a toss if you turn it from 22 to 19.5 if it makes no difference in the air tempature coming out the vent. If the air temp remains almost the same its a crap set up. Surely you dont think we are stupid enough not to have tried different settings to get it colder? If only you had told me earlier to turn it down and not up to get it cooler.

THE AIR COMING OUT OF THE VENTS ON ANY SETTING ISNT COLD ENOUGH FOR A NEW MODERN CAR IN MY OPINION. AND OTHERS BY THE SOUNDS OF IT.

The question was asked and we answered.

I have always found forums to be a tad(TAB) annoying. There are some great ones where the advice is invaluable. Forums on Italian motorcyles, classic cars etc. But forums on modern cars with very little, if any issues (and dealing with the general public) are somewhat pointless. With major issues like, what colour do you like?, what about these tyres?, what colour are the dash lights? And priceless advice like, "'Drive in performance mode to get colder air con"(Man I hope you were joking) its a quick reminder why I stay away from them.

So as I drive off into the sunset with my white hairy arse :bum: sticking out the window, I bid you fair well. I'm going back to the Benelli Forum. I will only get fired up here.

PS- 7000 posts is a worry.

we're not l33t enough tab! All this time us G-Spec owners thought we were better than the 'common' turbo owners we were clearly mistaken.

If we cut out all the posturing boys the question is an inherently subjective one. My 2c is that I haven't noticed how bad it is ergo it really can't be that bad (nor that good by the same token). FWIW I'm a hairy bloke and so have plenty of insulation too!

Someone needs to get back on their meds.

If you can't handle a bit of tongue-in-cheek humour (like your attempting to throw out there yourself I assume) then maybe this isn't the place for you tuono :bum:

...and no the higher revs wasn't a joke. If the compressor isn't spinning fast enough then you won't get high levels of cooling - simple as that. These engines develop their peak torque from very low in the rev range so don't need to sit there screaming to go anywhere like most other makes of vehicles that would then as a result provide better cooling.

But then maybe you're better off in your own little world without hearing something factual to ruin your dreams.

Didnt you know that's how it works in a falcon, I say.

Yeah good one ya knob!, they say.

I dunno what you girls are on about, after reading this thread I thought I go and check out my air con, wtf !, it works fine, and honestly I had the R H side vent facing me and it was too (no joke/fair dinkum) forking cold on auto 23.

It was 32 degrees outside....

I have been driving around on days that are >30 degrees and find that the air coming from my vents is cold enough to not have it directed at me. Either people are not putting the temperature low enough on their AC or there are a lot of AC's out there that are not particularly good, because mine is fine.

My other car is a Accord Euro and the problem with that car is the lowest fan speed still blows hard so its uncomfortable as you cant just get a gentle breeze...so why do you give a sh*t? I dont expect you do, other than to say that people use examples of other makes to say why something else is better, but like a lot of things, there are plusses and minuses in everything. The difference is the G6E Turbo is full of plusses!!! :stirthepot: I don't like driving my Euro anymore, it feels like a lifeless slug since I have had my new Turbo. So I could say the problem with my G6E Turbo is it makes other cars feel slow and crap!!!

BTW the manual override in the Ford is just as functional as the Accord Euro.
