So for me, the "semi-auto" mode is actually completely manual... I set it to cold, I get cold, I set the vents I want it to come out of, it comes out of that vent, I put the fan on a particular strength, I get that strength, its not semi-auto, its manual. Posted 28/11/10 11:56 AM Share Posted 28/11/10 11:56 AM Struth.I've obviously either a/ had rubbish in my previous experiences or b/ am just plain lucky. My CC AC works. Just fine. 21deg is enough to send you for a fur coat. It's probably the best Ford I've owned for knock down time, and I've learned to operate it it to demist, and work split level, heat my feet in winter, and do all sorts of clever things that are mentioned in the operating manual. It's worth a read sometime.... Hmmmmm....Must have been a Tuesday build.

If yours isnt getting cold enough, there is obviously a fault, which ford should be able to rectify. An earlier post identified several known problems , including flap door faults that introduce hot air into the blend.

satz Member 65 Member For: 18y 7m 29d Posted 28/11/10 09:55 PM Author Share Posted 28/11/10 09:55 PM related to this AC issue...does the car blow hot air when the AC is not on, and when the temp setting is on coolest? My old Mazda CX7 would blow a measured 40C when the AC was not switched on, but the outside temp was around 20C, so you had to use the AC virtually all the time!I think it was a buildup of underbonnet heat because the problem would be worse when driving the car after it was parked hot for some time..The old Magna I'm using now blows air the same temp as outside! What's the FG range like? Its 38 in Perth at the moment and we just went for a 20 min drive with the aircond on max cold and its barely adequate. I give it two thumbs down.Interesting, G6ET aircon worked fine yesterday in the 38 degree heat - had it set at 20 degrees - max was too cold. I will get mine looked at first service. At least it doesnt sound like an overall design problem.
