Guest Rob Guests Posted 29/10/03 08:46 PM Share Posted 29/10/03 08:46 PM As you can see I'm very new to the forum.Sound like you guys have a ball. I know you would have the technical details and I am interested in discvering them for the tech articles I write on cars for a local Club magazine.Where can I find the technical specs on the XR6T, please? In particular, the rod length, stroke and valve timing. What type of turbo does it run? Has anyone got the impeller sizes and CFM figures? The gear and final drive ratios would be interesting too.I have not had the pleasure of driving the XRT but I must say that they seem to have plenty of go and that sound under WOT is heavenly. My little cars strains to match the Ford turbo. I haven't got a LSD and getting the power down in the SP is a special art.Safe journeyRob

Guest Rob Guests Posted 29/10/03 11:13 PM Share Posted 29/10/03 11:13 PM Thynks for the link.I will certainly to that.I have some pretty interesting programs on piston velocity, piston acceleration, effect of changing rod lengths, "g" forces on rods, wrist pins and crank pins for given stoke and rod combinations, converting tractive efort to Nm for gears, speed in gears and optimum shift points, airflow and throttle body sizing, header, mid-pipe and resonator geometry, injector sizing, effect of runner length and shape on air velocity, etc.etc.Whilst I am not a memeber of the Club I would be more than happy to share the results of modeling for the XR6T with your members. Does your Club have a member who is the "technical" guru?Safe Journey

cdm Member 886 Member For: 22y 5m 28d Posted 30/10/03 06:32 AM Share Posted 30/10/03 06:32 AM Welcome Rob, There are a number of "guru's" on the site that should be able to help you. FORDTECH and Harasn are two that I beleive actually work for Ford. Then some of the companies that mod the falcon come on here too so imagine they can probably help you. Names to watch out for are, Herrod Motorsport, APS, and Lok11 (<---chiptorque) as well as dynosteve from RDP. There are other members here who work in dealerships and service departments. In all, this site and its member are a wealth of knowledge so I am sure you will find what you need. Good luck and enjoy!Cheers, Chris.
