To fit the ba to the au you needed a wiring adpator so you may have to change the plug on it.

The plastic gear that breaks internally and also the electric motor are the same.

There was a link to an ebay site for the replacement gears so they may be worth it if that's all the problem is, otherwise head to a wreckers and "take a look around" while borrowing one of the gears that they have on 500 of there cars!

There's a thread on how to fix the gear. One of mine snapped and we drilled straight down the guts, inserted a long screw with a good adhesive and I haven't had a problem for 6 months.

I saw the thread already but was just asking as someone has an au one they willing to give me. or wreckers it is 'for a look' around
