Bf2 'Update' & Lux Pack Features

Greetings all,

going over my insurance, and getting a few online quotes..when you select year,model etc you are given 2 options,something like:

BF2 XR6T Update

BF2 XR6T

Now my car has leather,premium ICC unit,xr8 18s...is mine an 'update'(build date of Oct 2007) goddamned if I know the difference but the insurance wanted to charge an extra few hundred bucks if I added 18s,premium sound,leather etc...rather than selecting BF2 update...

Yours is the update.

You'll still have to select 'leather' because it wasn't a standard feature on the 'update' model.

Don't the updates come with the body kit ?? Just a question .

Does it have an analogue clock in the same location as the FPV gauges. If not, its not an update. Update models also had dual zone AC.

I'm not sure if the clock location seals it as cars made before the update did have a clock in the centre where the FPVs have their gauge pod. Same goes for the dual zone CC. This was fitted to cars with the Premo sound system prior to the Update.

Mine is a 05/07 build date with 17s, and it has the clock in the centre where the FPVs have the gauges. It has all of the premo stuff on it including leather and sunroof but this is because it was orderd that way. The updates weren't being made until much later in '07.

Pretty sure the update BF got the 18s but with a darker grey color as well as dark accents on the body kit? These are the main external cosmetic differences I believe.

My Jan 07 Build ute has the clock. Its part of the luxury pack I beleive.

Yeah, mine has the analogue clock,dual zone climate but no grey highlights on the bodykit...the build is oct 07, still an update??

Doesn't sound like it mate, but if its going to make your insurance cheaper list it as one. If anyone ever queries it claim you thought it was.
