Probably not Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/71695-lowering-woes/page/2/#findComment-1056525 Share on other sites

Because I started this whole thread because I DID tell them about the suspension and I want to get it all fixed up with NRMA.I'm not going to hide anything, it's not worth the risk. What I'm asking in this thread, is where do I take the car to get checked?Basically my dad was talking to them and they said because it's a commercial vehicle, suspension mods must be inspected by the RTA...Never heard of this myself, but I've never owned a commercial vehicle till now. rob666 Member 62 Member For: 14y 9m 2d Posted 18/11/10 05:50 AM Author Share Posted 18/11/10 05:50 AM They just said it needs to be RTA approved because it's a commercial vehicle. They provided me with that list (VSI 15), so it's an engineer who has to approve it.Well I'm taking it to the engineer this afternoon. He seems strict about it, he wants to know the load rating, leaf count, etc about it all... He said he can provide an engineers for, wait for it.... $370! Fark. Hopefully it gets approved, I don't see why it wouldn't. It's not stupidly low. Once I get the engineers (read... IF), then I don't know where to go from there. Call NRMA and say it's all good?I'll keep you updated. What a sh*t fight. rob666 Member 62 Member For: 14y 9m 2d Posted 18/11/10 11:11 AM Author Share Posted 18/11/10 11:11 AM Well it passed. 110mm ground clearance (minimum is 100). I just need to get a blue slip and take it to the RTA. Yeah heaps of coin for the little amount he did.
