APS were in the process of modifying a XR6T ute hoping to be the first XR6T to run a 10 second bracket 1/4 mile at calder park a couple of week after the information day. Now I know that at the time of the calder park meet the ute wasn't quite finished, I think the NOS kit hadn't turned up yet from memory. It's now been 5 to 6 weeks since that calder park meet and I've read posts about the Nizpro car being at calder but as yet nothing on the APS ute. I was wondering if anyone knows if the ute did actually eventually run at calder or anywhere else at a later stage or if it's still under development and testing? It had a set of stockys on the back with slicks. Didn't see it run though. I got there at 6.30 so maybe it made a pass before I got there.

Currently it is the quickest XR6 Turbo in Australia (11.36 sec @ 126.38 mph) with more to come. The project took longer than expected due to heavy developmental work loads and some suspect FoMoCo components which APS has now sorted. For those who would like to see the ute in action please visit http://www.airpowersystems.com.au/falcon/d.../drags/1163.htm or Calder Park this Friday night for live action - unless the weather Gods are unkind again. For those who don't know, Nizpro will be bringing out their sedan with hand built engine and MoTec so it will be on for young and old. Should be a grand spectacle. We hope our beautiful stock pistons and conrods are up to the challenge. There's no better place for product development than the track. Hope to see you XR6 Turbo Ute fans out at Calder to cheer us on.PeterAPS
