yeah, im gonna bump this1 up again... I want to see FPV about updating it in my FG F6 ute.... "apparently" its about $560 for a factory update. that was his first call. im waiting for him to call back. he did say that there may be a non factory way to uupdate it aswell.

im also trying to find out how the live traffic updates work and what u need for it. there would have to be some sort of sim card to connect to the net for it.

I tried updating the software for the VDO Dayton unit, dont have the website handy, but it ended up upsetting the system and I can use it anymore. sooo, im trying to find a phone number for VDO Dayton anywhere in australia, but I can seem to find anything about it.

the moduel in mine is a MS 5200 and im guessing all others are incase that helps any1.....

My problem was the SD card was not clicked in properly.

Just found this guy who does a touch screen sat nav for $1500. I think he gets rid of the original sat nav and replaces it with a new box. So cost is no different whether you have or have no factory sat nav.

Krazy Karl, before you start ripping stuff out you better see if its the box where the SD card sits is the problem. If it is you may be better off checking out this guy.
