Bolan Member 12 Member For: 14y 3m 21d Posted 08/11/10 12:13 PM Share Posted 08/11/10 12:13 PM Hey all. I have an 06 mkII xr6t ute. I have recently invested in 700cc injectors, ss xforce 4.5" dump with 3.5" cat back, growler intake... now being 110 000km on the dash and a lot of fun as a stock ute, my clutch has burnt out too which is being replaced including the fly...now as I do have a 110000km on the dash what would be the chances of my motor blowing up with these mods plus a tune as my mechanic + tuner think ill get around 400 rwkw .... im concerned as the engine has done quiet a few kms...My question is on all those vehicles out there with 300-400 rwkw how many kms are on the dial and how long have you been pushing this power without blowing any internals. thanks all

Started modding around the 70,000k mark.Haven't had an engine problem yet... *fingers crossed*I just don't go punching it constantly, religeously warm up/cool down and always over service it. Oil every 5000 km's, warm up/cool down before/after punching it. 369rwkw on a new F6 short for 60,000km. Car has 116,000km on it now so the head is that old. Engine doesnt miss a beat.. serviced every 7500km. Always warmed right up before any action and not flogging it 100% of the time.

Tune wasn't quite done yet as I was missing a boost sensor and once that was on and retuned it's been flawless.Servicing to happen every 5000kms now though!
