Solves alot of issues and will cost me about $6.5k thru my mechanic walk in walk out all new parts etc. Will keep you guys posted on how she goes, kinda excited for the manual - anything I should be worried about? lolA bit unsure why you would do that but seeing you are and your trans is supposedly Screwed I will take it off your hands for you at a reasonable price. It would be worth me paying the freight to WA for me to just see whats wrong with it and ascertain how smart Ford are with their diagnosis. As Greg has mentioned, there is a possibility that you can have the box fixed / rebuilt (stronger) for cheaper than you will pay for the conversion. If you are going to convert to the T56, I would suggest a few things.1. Speak with Mal Woods... He should be able to point you in the right direction with a complete conversion kit. I would probably have him carry out the work in converting too if the price is right!2. Adrian_F6 (member on here) has a T56 and Mal Woods clutch in his tornado that he was looking to swap for a ZF6 box and associated components & Hardware. You guys might be able to strike a deal for a trade.

I think you need to speak to the right people as Ford may be steering you down the wrong path.Speak to typhoon_freak. He has one of Greg's / Monster Torque's built ZF's in his 500rwkw+ BF and its an amaizing bit of gear.I forsee more headaches in doing the T56 conversion then sticking with the ZF. My presumption is the boxes life was shortened due to changes made when it was tuned. I agree with Greg, it may not be screwed at all.Dont throw 6.5K down the drain if its not needed. All tuning, all parts, all fitted etc etc.I was considering having the ZF rebuilt, but then I'm still going to have clunking issues and issues with my gear selection - plus, I've got no idea who rebuilds ZF's that's local to Brisbane, I'll send a few more PM's and hope I get some replies No idea what to do yet, I've spoken to a few people with the T56 and a good clutch and they say they love it. As for the box, it'll go on eBay with the possible problems and will sell to the highest bidder, if I dont rebuild it.EDIT: Tried to pm typhoon_freak and it says he cant accept new msgs, so can anyone give me some numbers for ZF rebuilders? See if they are a little negotiable on price at all...? He is a site sponsor. Both Monsta Torque and Xtreme Ford Tuning in Perth rebuild ZF's. I think Kewish rebuild them in Victoria...From what I can make out and as per Riki's post in another thread, he sent his ZF to Monsta Torque to be rebuilt for less than $3k including freight both ways from the East coast. Seems many tuners have a fair idea but but there is only a handful who are really good at tuning the ZF. Quite a few guz on here have had HUGE problems and its taken a lot of my time to convince them its in the tune.. Eventually they get it tuned right and are amazed at the difference.Don't blame the Trans for Bad tuning.
