Secret Member 4 Member For: 14y 3m 13d Posted 08/11/10 11:58 PM Author Share Posted 08/11/10 11:58 PM Gee thanks...the reason I came to the "Ford XR6" website was because I thought I would get some advice on what people who liked these cars thought that this was worth. I've checked redbook but as you probably know that's more for a dealers idea on value....

I always judge a car by its cleanliness/physical condition, history,THE OWNERS ATTITUDE AND DEMEANOR, sound(mechanical)and drive. So it really is a wide open grey area... A, there's millions of them about, B, price needs to be competitive, C, how bad does he want to sell ? all of these things relate to how marketable the car is ! Sell it at the lower end of the going rate (search local magazinses/trading post/carsales.com etc etc. price it accordingly ! cheaper if wanting rid of it quick, middle if hoping to sell it but not too bothered... I will normally go by a good honest description and decent photos, all sides and along the panels to give idea of sheen and panel quality. Interior from both sides to see if its honest and clean. do the work and it will sell quickly, its a competitive world now so do it right first time and people will call ! do it half arsed and people wont ! this comes from well over 20yrs in the auto industry (jap imports mostly).... and hey, webby isnt the voice if the forum, neither am I but I would take things as a joke unless its directed otherwise, that way you wont be offended by random daftness ! Secret Member 4 Member For: 14y 3m 13d Posted 09/11/10 01:34 AM Author Share Posted 09/11/10 01:34 AM thank you for your advice. this is why I came on this site in particular. I was not aware that they are a very common car as I haven't seen a lot for sale. do you think 15,000 is a fair price? redbook says only 13,200 for a very good condition one (which this is). also I think that 70,000ks is quite low (only 10,000 per year). do you agree? Just a joke. But yeh a BA 03 model and also depending if it has leather, premo sound, sunroof etc probably between 13 - 17,000 I would say it would go for. Start higher, can always drop it if it doesn't sell.
