No cause the i6 is in the same class as a v12 and it has a turbo and it is the best motor in the world.

Next they will be saying the f6 can beat a veyron because it's a better balanced engine and has a bugger turbo.

Sorry don't mean to be a smart ass but come on amitt what is real and don't live in dream land.

I think you may have posted that in the wrong thread, and not one person has compared the Ford Inline-6 to any V12. All I have posted is fact, certain engine designs are naturally smoother than others. That is a fact regardless of if you like it or not.

Anyway, I believe the SS-V and GS should be compared against each other, not the R8 Clubsport. Similar trim levels, similar price, similar/same body styling as the base SS/XR models. I am still waiting on the GS price to drop a little more and for my new salary to come into play in Feb before I continue my search for one.

Not many!

I was at Power Ford yesterday popping in for parts and the Service Manager who I know well took me upstairs to the show room.

I knew he was up to something the bugger. Anyway parked facing each other in what looked like an arm wrestle tournament was a Blue RS and a Blue GT 335.

To make things worse they opened up the sliding doors and started the buggers gave them a few revs! The sound from both cars was like listening to your favorite band, Live!

I love both cars and for around 8K diffrence in price its a tough one! Anyway I am booked in on Monday for a comprehensive test drive

I had a test drive of a new GT335 last week. I think the positives from the car were the brakes felt very good and instilled confidence when pulling the car up. The gear shifts felt quite firm and fast compared to my XR (mine's probably a little worn now). The car got plenty of looks and sounded extremely good when driven hard up to redline.

As for the performance I can only compare to my car as I haven't driven the old GT which is probably not fair comparing to a tuned XR but it'll have to do. The power delivery was much smoother and more liniar with quite a bit more traction than my car. It certainly wasn't as strong down low but that's expected. My tune seems to deliver power in a sledge hammer fashion which isn't kind on grip. I think a tuned GT is going to be a very fast street car due to the linier power delivery and this assiting in traction. I would certainly like to take a ride or drive in a tuned one before deciding if I liked it more than the Turbo 6.

Cons were as I've said before pricing. This GT was $82K without the option of 6spot Brembos. Hopefully the revised FG is going to have some extras to make it more attractive and better value for me.

I went down to the ford dealer toady and had my first look. Salesman didn't seem to know too much about it. I might have to put a suit on next time so they take me a bit more seriously also. Def been keen to take one for a drive as mid to late next year I will be lookin for a family car and I think one of these would be awesome.
