The E2/E3 R8 is uglier than an SS. Fair dinkum.

The R8 is more closely priced to the GT with the GS being more comparable to the GXP. I would still take a base GS over a GXP and an optioned up GS over an R8 anyday.

I think people are missing the point I was going to buy the new gt and I was very excited however why would I fork out 70 + k for a car that is only marginally faster than the fg f6 it drinks more petreol costs more to insure and as we have already proven feels slower. Which is even more dangerous because u need to go faster to get any form of thrill and at the end of day we buy these cars to have fun in and there is no fun in going to jail for doing 200 kph on your new gt because it didnt feel fast. We don't live in Germany. And last time I checked this forum was called xr6 turbo not v8 central

Cranny I know what your saying and I agree it does not fell as fast as the turbo its because we are use to the torque curve. took F6 Ute and GS Ute for run and F6 felt faster and did spin tyres more then GS. my Tuned BA XR6 felt faster then the F6 but I know my car is way slower then F6 and GS but sudden rush of boost just fells faster. I think you sould wait abit and maybe get in a tuned GT or F6 and see what you recon then.

To the OP - I call BS!!

I have been a passenger in a GT 335 and all I can say is that it will slaughter your BF. It will embarrass a GT 315.

I like how u said passenger, funny that this means that u havn't driven this car yet wonder why? so how can u start handing out reviews about a car you have not driven.

I also like how u mention slaughtering my BF when my BF was stock it ran 13.00 flat and the best we have seen this new gt get was a 12.92 so if you call 0.08 of a second slaughtering.

my BF in current form runs 12.20 fairly consistently with a mild tune. I would hardly say slaughter.

and if what I am saying is BS why would I come onto the forum and make up a bad review about a iconic car that I have loved for many years and was going to purchase. as I have said in past posts go down to peter warren at sydney and test drive the Nitro Blue Fg gt 335 with a zf auto then come give me a review.

Nice reply - would you like to address your inconsistencies in your story? 5000km GT 335? Stock BF feeling faster than a GT 335? Unable to spin the wheels??!!?? Bad exhaust note???

Look at the end of the day you are entitled to your opinion. BTW - the driver (when I was a passenger)was a V8 Supercar driver and we well and truly tested the car's performance. Once you peel away all the rhetoric there are some udeniable truths that need to be faced. The GT 335 is better in EVERY way to the BF Typhoon. I have been an owner of 1 x BA XR6T, BA II F6, BF F6 and now FG XR6T and I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that the GT 335 is streets aheard of any BF and better than any other FG on the market.

Finally - I doubt that you have even driven the car but that's just my opinion. If you have then I think your review is skewed towards a favourable impression of you BF OR you have driven the worst example of a GT335 in the world.

FACT - It is the best all round package that Ford has every released in Australia. It is the best sounding exhaust note from any Ford ever released in the Australian market. It will out accelerate, our perform, out brake, out handle any (standard, of course) BF Falcon derivative ever made. With these FACTS in mind I really don't know how anyone can take your review seriously.

For the record I will be upgrading next year to the FG F6 but that is just my preference towards turbo cars (and the price).

Mate dont realy care who was driving it FACT is you were a Passenger. and you cant get a real feel for the car untill your driving it. FACT you dont see Clarkson rating cars being a passenger do you? FACT OP was giving his opinion based on driving the car not being passenger. and with these FACTS in mind I dont think you can call OP comment BS.

when we finally found a back street (private Road) I opened her up it was fast but not that fast now I currently own a stock bf f6 typhoon Zf auto and to be honest the f6 still felt faster. I was very disappointed actually and now I am in two minds, do I get the fg f6 or the 335 GT.

Apparenty Street Fords Magazine tested it and it punched out 350 Rwkw this car felt slower than my f6 with only 235rwkw. my mate who came with me said the same thing.

it didnt even break traction. (I hammered it from every situation)

whats going on ford this new off its head super car felt like a bit of a dud. not to mention how quiet and un v8 like it sounded please can some one tell me I am wrong I really wanted this car to be a hsv eating machine but I think that job is now left up to the all glorious F6.

Hey Cranny - Don't mean to emabarrass you further but when you lie you need to make it consistent. On the 8th Nov you say your BF is "stock". Today you say it's got a tune and runs 12.2 sec 1/4 mile?? Your F6 with "only 235rwkw" felt faster than the GT 335?? Couldn't break traction? I can only assume you can't drive properly because there isn't a person on this forum that couldn't get an auto GT 335 to break traction EVERYTIME they take off with WOT, let alone "hammering it from every situation".

I am being serious when I ask you this - Are you sure the car you say you drove with 5000km, that didn't sound like a V8, couldn't break traction from any sistuation, felt slower that your stock (maybe modified, depending on how the story runs at that point in time) BF F6, was indded an actual GT 335? The car that Ford make that fits your description is the XT (not GT). Maybe you got mixed up (again).

I like my turbo Falcons as much as anyone but I would never resort to such nonsense to put the F6 on a pedestal. "All glorious F6"?? I'm not ashamed to hand the crown to the deserving King of Australian Performance Cars - the GT 335!

Do you need to drive to be able to hear the exhaust note? Do you need to be driving to hear the tyrs screeching in 1st and second? Can a passenger not tell whether a car is FAAAAAR superior to another car?

For the record we also drove 3 laps around QR in a M3 (again I was a passenger) directly after the GT and I can tell you the M3 is in a class of it's own again. But hey, that could just be my super human perception. Some people need to have their hand on the wheel to make these conclusions.

Hi guys new on here, my first post, just on the FG power figures I have this bit to add, a guy I know bought a XR6T (ZF) and before modding it he go it dynoed, the figure was 255rwkw so losing 15KW via auto ain`t gonna happen as far as I`m aware! I`d say (with no real conviction though) the FG power figures are undar8ed, some jap car makers have been doing that for decades.

Mate a passenger cannot comment on the driving of a car based on being a passenger. there is nothing to prove op or my self have driven thies cars there is also no proof you have been in a GT or an M3. why dont you go and test drive a GS or GT before you comment on how it drives.
