Hi,

Recently purchased a 2nd hand nizpro kit, and the wiring for the battery had been cut (unsure why)

Was just wanting to make up some new cables, but I'm not sure where they run from.

Seems there is 2x positives from the battery, where to I don't know.

Also where does the battery earth to, as the Nizpro install instructions mention heatshrinking over the factory battery earth, but it doesnt say where the rest of the cables run to.

Anyone with a Nizpro kit able to fill me in?

Thanks,

Dave

Here are the full instructions for the kit.

Is that what you have?

Yep that's the document I was referring to, doesnt really explain what goes where besides it runs alone the front near the radiator somewhere, and the black and white photo's make it hard to see how many cables there are, and what lugs/terminals are used and how they join together.

The positive cable goes from the battery to the starter and then to the fuse box on the drivers side. The negative goes from the battery to the engine mount bracket bolt on the block,on the passenger side. I ran my positive cable along the k.frame near the steering rack, the same way as the original one. Then just take your old/original positive lead out.

Let us know if it works out any cheaper to make your own mate. The cabling, terminals and boots wouldnt be too cheap but its worth a look I suppose. Im all for making my own looms and sh*t but the Nizpro battery cabling is worth the coin.

Decided with this, to leave the stock positive cable in place, and insulate the stock positive battery clamp, the same as the Nizpro kit does to the earth terminal clamp.

Will just run one 2 or 0 gauge lead from the battery's positive to the starter motor, and the stock lead can then supply the relay/fuse box from the starter's positive post.

And run 1 earth from the battery to engine mount like Nizpro.

Got some boots from a wrecker for free, so will just need to make up the + & - leads and it'll be all done, and easy to return to stock if required.
