I am young at only 25 and I can't believe how many people younger than me have really bad grammar and spelling. I know that my grammar and spelling isn't that good but I try unlike alot of people.

The way I see it is, if I were a boss/owner of a business and hiring people I wouldn't be taking those people who don't make an attempt or someone who wrote a CV or any other info in txt language. The fact some schools want to allow txt wording in essays is amazing to me. That should be a fail.

I also cringe when I see the wrong use of "to" and "too" (I am going TO the shop TOO), but I also try not to judge people by their writing ability. Just because a blokes grammar is not up to scratch doesnt mean they should not contribute or feel excluded from discussion. When people are using SMS type words even though they have a keyboard are being lazy and its annoying. Other than that, ordinary grammar or not I like to see the different opinions.

the decline of literacy skills amongst the general population matters SFA (to me anyway) in relation to the Political Correctness disease infecting society.

I hate PC with a passion - tell a racist/sexist/religious joke on TV or the radio and just about get crucified.. prime example is the whole Hey Hey its Saturday skit with Harry connick tosser acting all high and mighty about perceived racism.. toughen up FFS ya princess!!

THe 20th Century was where it all happened, man kind evolved, many achievments were made and then the clock ticked over to the 21st century. Man kind is rooted, literally! It's all about partying hard now, drinking as much booze as possible and shagging as many hotties as possible. We will stagnate for a century, but who cares, I won't be seeing it out :P (That is the attitude that needs to be erradicated!)
