It was a new allocation mate. Still on the line so nothing to look at. It was going to be lightning (silver) but said they could change the color and specs hence the premo sound upgrade. Have said this in another post but they tried really hard to sell me a super pursuit in viper that they've had since February, 2010. Was 64 list - demo at 54 (delivery k's only) will take 50k driveaway! Now if you can handle that it's got the old donk, what a great buy. sh*t the seats and finish is good in them. They reckon viper is 'polarising' but I don't mind it. Knowing how good the new engine is I wouldn't want it myself but still, great buying.

How much extra is the blower worth? Looking at redbook figures, a 2010 XR8 ute was listed at $43,690 rrp. The 2010 rrp for a GS was 51,990. As mentioned, I could've landed an auto 2011 GS with premo sound for 51k driveaway. Forget the FPV comparison 'cause we all know a true FPV she aint. However, stacked up against an XR8 (keeping in mind $43,690 wasn't driveaway) I reckon it's good value 'cause you would've been looking at around 45k driveaway for an XR8. So 6k extra for the new blown donk and an FPV badge - I'd pay that. It also stacks up pretty well against an SS for price and kills it and anything else the other mob has for performance. Zort and tune = 500+ rwhp (seen it wiff me own eyes). I'm becoming a fan.

Not for a second doubting what you're saying bomber, but did you get prices in writing? The dealership you mentioned are renowned for 'forgetting' to add gst or stamp duty to the verbal prices they give out. Dirty fckers.

yep, did the whole breakdown on paper.

I hear you though and had the same issue with another dealer on the Gold Coast. I had actually ordered a FG T sedan and paid the deposit. The next day the dickhead saleman rang me and said um, that was a ute you wanted wasn't it? My son and I had even sat in an FG sedan and talked about leg room etc with him - moron. Tried to hold them to the deal and spoke to the manager on the phone only to find the tosser I bought off was the farking manager! Still not done, rang Ford head office and they basically said sorry mate its a dealer thing. So, long story short mate, I don't take chances on prices.

When I went to the local Ford dealershop, an Automatic 2010 XR8 SEDAN in Dash with all the options except leather and 19's (premo sound, reverse sensors and camera, side airbags, aftermarket window tint, floor mats, dash mats, tech pack, the lot) was priced at $48,990 driveaway, which is pretty much retail.

Ford dealership up north quoted a GS SEDAN with premo sound, reverse sensors, camera, tint and dash mats for $52,990. This was before I bought the GT off them. Yeah, the salesman knew me a bit and wanted one of these cars on their lot anyway, but still, now seeing prices of the GS ute at $51k with just premo sound, I should have taken that deal. Though, I just prefer an FPV to look like an FPV, not an XR8...

Also, premium sound is retailed at $1,100.00 for both sedan and utes for 2010 built cars, last I checked.

was told utes were cheaper mate - no sub etc. It they farked up, too bad. Like I said, becoming a fan. Still love turbos but the GS is starting to become better bang for buck IMO.

450 + GST for the ute.

Also, the RRP went up $1000 on March onwards Sedan and Ute GS builds. Mainly because we are selling so many GS's and not enough GT's.

If anyone on here wants to buy one, or even enquire. PM me.

Anchor, tell the 'suits' they are a bunch of dickheads. The GS, or should we say XR8 with a blower, finally get half real with price and the morons jack the price up? Correct me, but didn't falcon just come off one of the worst months on record? So yes, lets raise the price - that should fix the slide. WTF!

Where's my leather, nice looking interior, colour screen, ipod connection and everything else. . . ?

On a GS ute:

Option, not sure what you want in your interior considering they're all the same - a different colour perhaps?, option, standard.

And on an F6 ute afaik:

Option, same interior, option, standard...

:dontknow:
