Interesting and again only a guide but Redbook reckon the auto is a couple of grand cheaper. Bang for buck potential second hand is looking unreal. It will be the best of both worlds. I'll get the V8 soundtrack back, it will be quicker than my turbo and dust off anything HSV has on offer for around 40k.

Redbook is silly in terms of cars that are only a few months old.. They say you can find a second hand 5.0L Supercharged 2010 GT for 55-60k now.. when it's only 4 months old.. Resale value of these cars are bad, but not THAT bad..

Wait some months before we look at resale on the Miami's..

Yeah they are hard markers but dealers use it and others to gauge prices. Like HSV though mate, first up owners get a spanking.

Anyone that buys a brand new car and does not have a business to write teh depreciation and GST off against is a fool.

If I was in the market for a new car and was just a normal employee teh market is fantastic with teh amount of money you can save by purchasign a "near new" car.

If everyone thought like that then car sales would be depleted to pretty much nothing. I bought a new car because they gave me a good deal on it. Sure, I could have waited for a second hand "business" car that's been flogged the hell out of, but meh.. I wanted one to flog myself.. :)

Ford is just a rip off ... at least Expensive Daewoo will negotiate and honour some sort of warranty.

In my opinion the Blown V8 is wasted in the FG shell. The rear end setup is useless under power and the axle tramp issues with the FG have not been addressed. The chassis cannot handle the turbo 6 let alone a supercharged V8.

You can fix the tramp. A decent set of matching springsand dampers with the superpro bushes. I dont suffer any. As for the front end pushing under power... That I don't think will ever be fixed till we can get wider rubber legaly under the front.

Well I got a 54k+ car for 41k , it was under six months old. Justify it however you want, it's your money to waste...

But that's off topic.

On topic, yeah this powerplant will struggle in this shell..
