Did they just plug straight into the existing loom and indicators work? Also, what did you do with the repeaters on the guards (I was under the impression that ADR doesn't allow for both at the same time)Genuine Ford 50th anniversary XR6T door mirror and door wiring on a 2008 FG . straight swap without any problems

The side repeaters work at the same time also but it looks a little dicky with the 2 repeaters going at the same time, in regards to what Ive done with the repeaters on the guards ,at this stage Ive just popped the globes out and painted them black while I wait for a couple of custom made badges to be finished which should be towards the end of next week. One thing I did notice is that the back of the FPV and for that matter the G6E guard badge has a holder were they go through the guard so that you can plug in the existing indicator globe holder less the globe which suggests to me that maybe all the FPVs and G6Es have the side repeater wiring for the guards also. I'd like to see those custom badges when they're done (post some pics?).On a side note (sorta), the mirror scalp in your pic looks like carbon fibre that's colour coded to the car. Is it? And I don't suppose you took a look at the back of the mirror indicators - my copies(?) have ford emblems throughout the inside of the mirror, but have Volvo on the back of the indicator assembly, lol. FG XXXR6 Member 14 Member For: 14y 3m 11d Posted 16/11/10 10:54 AM Author Share Posted 16/11/10 10:54 AM Done! And the ambient temperature gauge is now accurate for the first time since I bought the car.Indicators are wired to the existing repeater wiring inside the guards and plugged onto back of badges to stop dust getting in the connector plugs. I was going to colour code the scalps but I prefer them how they are - looks tougher. Just gotta sort out some custom badges................
