As the title says.... Have they killed off the persuit ute?? I see the FPV Site now has only the 2 utes GS and f6. Have they snuck the ute out while everyone has been chating about the new blowen v8?? Or has the website designer just over looked it?? Maybe Bunna can shead some light on it?

Could also be that it is a well known fact and I am the only one that didnt know??

yes it is common knowledge, according to somebody in the know, the chassis did not respond the way FPV would like with the extra power.

Not real happy about it either as I could have been tempted to trade my current ride for 1, Oh well the GT is looking more tempting :roflmbo:

I believe its also to do with the extra money involved. A redesigned chassis to deal with the 335 engine would be expensive when you consider they dont actually sell many utes. We not see another ute from FPV as they have to make do with what ford give them and the money is being spent else where. Does leave the door open for a 310 xr6t ute and a 315 xr8 ute.

There is an FPV ute - the GS, but that's all you'll get - there is simply no way to pass durability with that setup with that power/torque curve. If they could do it within the right $ of course they would, because its another premium model that generates cash, but obviously no can do!

AU Xr's look tough!

In hindsight I wasn't a fan of the massive P U R S U I T lettering on the tailgate.

Was at Q Ford today looking at an F6 ute and old mate said, what about a V8. Took me out the back and they have a super pursuit (auto, viper) - February 10 build. They were quote "desperate to move it". Went inside and did some sums and could have driven out for 50k neat. It was listed at 64 - knocked back to 54 being a demo except it has only delivery k's (under 100) then said they would take 50k.

For someone that want's a blinged up V8 FPV ute I reckon that's awesome buying. I just couldn't get my head around having something with the old clunker engine. Still, great value IMO.
