I'm going to get thrashed but I don't care as its just my opinion

Why not a VE Clubsport? My mum has a VE GTS and it's actually a great car, Clubsport wouldn't be too much different. And I'm sure you could get one for cheaper then $1250 a month and they're a nice car, and enough power to overtake when needed.

My 2c.

Agree with harry about the compromise. We have customer after customer coming in trying to improve the handling on their Foresters - too much body roll, too soft, tyres too tall - after you take these problems out, the car becomes too hard as the chassis is actually fairly tight - if you want a suby, buy an impreza or a liberty!

I also agree with Mal (Zap) in regards to the value of your car vs. lease payouts - this could be tricky considering the second hand market is down. This will look like a selfless jab for business, but maybe you need to do some handling mods to the F6? :beerchug:

All jokes aside, when I was selling cars I ran into alot of people that were in the same boat as you. Funnily enough, if the change wasn't viable, I convinced most of them to modify the car in some way - be it a set of wheels, some stripes or even power mods. It just made a little difference and kept the interest in their car until a reasonable changeover period.

$1250 over 5 and a balloon... WTF?

Sounds like a total financial rip to me - unless u financed something else up the arse along with it?

Ive only ever gone 3yrs in the past, and now 4 on the RSpec (only due to carry over from the GT)... Having said that, still cashing out on the RSpec and adding some $$$ to the pay out.

Even on the pre approved fin for the Benz @ $70,000 4 yrs with only 25% ballon the month is coming out at around 1100$.

Best check with an accountant mate - something doesnt sound right to me...

Anyways assuming your looking around the 60K mark... Subys, VW, Volvo S40T, Audi A4, BM 1 Series, or a Benz C Series???

Just a few 'different' ideas...

Unfortunately at the 60k mark, you wont get any Euro car that will give you performance, at least relative to the F6. Then in terms of luxury, Euro brands at this price point will not be as luxuriously appointed as say a G6E Turbo. So then you are left with Japanese cars where you get more luxury at this point but again, the performance will probably be pretty good for your average joe for for a bloke hopping out of an F6, it will feel slow.

So you are left with the Australian made cars... the GS or GT will feel like an upgrade... not due to performance (which I suspect will be remarkably similar) but the thumping throb of the V8. Would you step into to a HSV? I wouldnt imagine that this would be satisfactory particularly when the guy who bought your car blasts past you!!! :buttrock:

I also suspect that the cost of exiting the finance and taking new finance will be more than the depreciation you will wear over the next two years. So maybe do as Senna-T suggests, give your car a little touch up for freshness and enjoy your current car, it is still a ripper of a car. :beerchug:

I know nothing about leasing a car but 30 seconds with a calculator tells me

that sounds like a crap deal.

Dosent anybody just buy a car anymore? (besides me) :innocent:

Besides that I see no positives to a Forester over what you have.

No one fans of the Chrysler 300c srt8? Euro built, nice as fark on the inside, all the electronics that hsv are claiming to be first with ie g'e, 0-100etc braking distance, 1/4mile timer, 0-100timer (makes every set of light interesting) brembos all round, huge kicker sub in the boot , touch screen display with 30gb hd.

That's what I'll be getting next.

if I had the money, it would be a hatch sti ! I loved and imported subaru's for donkeys years but that new sedan is so ugly, its mother doesn't even love it and at 70k, no thanks ! I'd go the coyote ! :innocent: and as for the holdens, even a stock xr6t will flog a 317 in a drag so forget that unless you want to take a step backwards !

If you want to change, go entirely different to get a new thrill ! chrysler looks the nuts ! if I had the dosh it would be the coyote ! or the sti, or any number of cars ! :roflmbo:
