He is either 1.trying to fit in with the kids by being one of the kids - if so, he is stupid and naive. Or 2. a real asshole that needs a right royal hiding.

I guess I would find out the context of the comments etc, he may just be trying to be fun teacher and is just going the wrong way about it as he is not setting a good example, whether intended maliciously or not. I wouldn't take the step of taking it to the board but I would expect him to explain himself and apologise.

Re the budgies, I dont think its appropriate to wear these in front of 10yr old girls. Yes, other people at the pool may wear them, but they are not the teacher. The reality is that whilst some guys always wear them, its usually when competing or swimming long distances as shorts would be seen to get in the way however this cannot be an excuse here so he should cover up and wear shorts.

The thing with the speedos is the school probably is stuffed either way. If they tell him not to wear them he can just as easily kick up a stink about being discriminated against because of what he wears. Remember it isn't like he bought these things from some underground market or fetish shop, they are available at Target ffs!

I have a decent sense of humour and although the swimmers are inappropriate like people say, the're not illegal, just morally wrong in my opinion. The name calling, that's a different story, I'll deal with this *beep* on Monday !
