So whats the weak point in the TR6060, wouldnt have thought tremec would go backwards from T56. Is it that they both have their own weak points.

I've had mainlube in my car for over a year now, and I have NO noises whatsoever in my box. I used to get a sticky shifter, really bad rollover noises, bearing noises, all sorts of stuff. The mainlube was easily the best money I spent on my gearbox. T56 BA MKII.

The noise some are experiencing with the FG TR-6060 is roll-over noise, and this can be fixed with the box being stripped and blue-printed.

We have had a few FG 6 speeds in which need more shimming on the cluster and input shaft.

There is definitely no weak points in the TR-6060 transmission. If anything, they are stronger than the earlier T56's fitted to BA's and BF's. They have redesigned the hubs, allowing for larger bearings and gears.

We (Mal Wood Automotive) charge $530 to strip and blueprint the transmission.
