You all know that I've got my T by now, but today nearly brought me to tears. For those who saw the news tonight, Western Sydney had a nasty little hail storm at around 2pm. Lasted about 20-25 mins and in some places the hail was golf ball size.Yours truly had driven his new baby up to Kellyville for an afternoon of playing cricket. I had check the BoM website for a weather check and didn't see any hail warnings, just a "chance of thunderstorms tonight". So there I was opening the batting and feeling good... then down drops the first tiny hail stone! I freaked!Instantly I was having flashbacks to Easter 1999 and the devasting hail storm that flattened everything all over Eastern Sydney. This included my '94 EF Falcon that was parked on the street and got pummelled to the tune of $8.5k.Back to today. With no undercover parking anywhere nearby, all I could do was sit in the clubhouse and pray that my new baby could survive the storm. For the next half hour I was going insane. I hadn't had her for more than 23 hours and already Mother Nature was out to get me! :tears: Luckily for this little black duck, the hail stones were not big enough or hard enough to do any damage. My "black beauty" has a tough exterior, something I'm extremely thankful for. But for ~30 mins I was a broken man. I have seen em before and they shouldn't be too pricey, might be worth buyin one and keeping it in the boot. All's well that ends well though. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/7115-almost-heartbroken-on-the-first-day/#findComment-60223 Share on other sites
