Car Bra

Hi all new too all this. purchased a brand new g6e turbo in late april. live in the pilbra, W.A and do a bit of driving from tom price to perth. Sick of spending hours cleaning all the bugs of and want to stop any stone chips,was wondering if any one has a car bra and if they would recemend them. any info would be great, cheers

made locally in currimundi sunshine coast mate ! guy sells them on ebay, he's a shade/sail maker ! 200 odd bucks I am sure.. can inspect them (10 mins from me !) if ya like !

I had a Car Bra from CARBRA AUSTRALIA, for my BA. The important thing to remember is that like a Woman's bra, Cars Bras, are not made to be left on for weeks at a time. If you do this they get dirt, mosture and grime under the bra, which damages the paint.

I used mine for longer trips only. I took it off when I got there, and washed the car before I put it back on. Worked fantasic.Was a pain to wash all the time but protected the car well.

Dont leave your headlight protectors on under the bra, as they can moove and damage the paint.

I have not decided which way to go this time. As I do alot of long distance driving (20000km+ in 8 weeks at times) I thik that it will be too much work keeping the car clean under the bra. As my Car is WHITE this time, wont have as much issues with color matching so periodic bar and bonnet respray might be on the cards

I've had car bras from my EF, AU and both BA's I've owned and my mates got one for his FG also, cant recommend them enough.

As BCR01 has said, dont leave the bra on once the trip is over, or if you have to no longer than the overnight stays is what I do. I always just armourall the bra when its fitted as this helps with getting the bugs and crap off easier and wipe it down with a rag once at the other end then pack away. I have never had to clean/wash the felt inside of mine.

The only problem I have ever encountered with them is the elastic goes after about 5yrs of use which cost me $50 to get them all replaced with new ones from an upholstery place!

They take me like 2mins to fit as I've been doing it for years now, know where to ream the holes for the hooks etc, easy as!

Excellent service and excellent quality. And they usually have the more common ones ready made and ready to ship. You could probably have one by the end of the week for the trip to Perth.

My only problem with them is after extended night driving, my car tends to blow globes. Lost my 2 driving lights and drivers headlight over the course of 2 weeks driving interstate. Must be the globes getting too hot because there is no airflow over them.

Otherwise, it protects the car perfectly.

that's the guys I got mine off. The only real problem I had was coming back from Townsville once. There is a plastic window that lets you see the number plate..........................that was the problem, you could see my number plate in the Picture too well! $$$$ Speed Camera wins again!

Quality was great and fitted well.
