Hi guys,

I think I have an issue with my Auto Trans on my Fg F6, however I have now seen 2 seperate dealers and they both tell me there is nothing wrong.

The best way I can explain it is If I turn OFF Traction Control, Put it into Performance Auto, lightly stall it and accelerate hard, The car will take off but then at around 20kmh, I get a very quick cut in power, similar to traction control but without any fart sounds etc.

I have had this issue since new, I really dont know what to do anymore, does anyone think it could be a spark plug problem?

I will try get some video of the problem occuring, I am also driving another auto fg f6 this week to see if their demo car does the same thing - I am pretty certain it wont happen.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Enrico, mine has done the same thing, but NOT all the time??? Some times it just baggs the hell out of both tyres (smoke fest) other times it does exactly as you said...

I will keep an eye on it..

Cheers Gus.

I know my car isn't an auto but I have had similar stuff happen when switching from DCS ON to DCS OFF.. gave it a bit in 1st with DCS off (straight after I switched it) and the computer was confused and cut power.. I thought WTF.. then try again and all good.

Has happened a couple of times, but only randomly..

Hi gents, I could be wrong in saying this but I think this is to do with the "torque tag" or what ever it is called...I works like a rev limiter....maybe something to do with the boost levels and torque etc....im not 100% sure though, maybe some tuner might be able to lighten this subject up a little! My car does the same thing and is an auto f6 aswell....

EnricoPalazzo does it come back on after the cut out?

Your absoultley 100% right it sounds like a Torque management issue safety precautions inside the ecu, have seen this problem many times in the past especially on the FG,s as they are very aggressive on torque management I have also had Ford dealerships call us about this problem, your best way too overcome this issue is too get a tune.
