Dubai - Car Lovers Heaven

Currently I am in Dubai UAE for business and this place is beyond any place I have ever been to.

The place reeks of money and Recession all in one. There are tons of 1/2 completed buildings, huge deserted road network with 8 lane freeways, huge opulent malls, hotels and building and the most amazing collection of cars to be seen anywhere. You just need to sit down and watch the consistant flow of Porche's, Mercs, BMW, Astons, ferraris and USA trucks.

Seeing Range Rovers with blacked out windows (including windscreen !!) with supercharges whirling under the bonner, to SLS MErcs parked in my hotel driveway.

Managed to snap a few shots and the valet even opended it for an interior picture. The drivers are completly nuts. Speeding is normal, my taxi driver was doing 140km/h and we were overtaken by a turbo Cayenne doing over 200km/h. Nobody uses indicators, obeys road rules or drives with any consideration for other cars.

Meh, I stood next to a new SLS Gullwing while I was in Toowoomba recently. Guy even gave it a rev for me. Yep Toowoomba. No need to go to Dubai. Its all happenin in Toowoomba.

Astons, Ferraris, Mercs, BMWs, Porsches are fairly common in toowoomba, its a cheap place to live, and the guys making loads of money need something to spend it on.
