If they're smart enough they'd already have one, those that aren't will go out of their way just to ridicule the fine thing that a G6ET is. Bit of a tall poppy sort of thing I guess.

PS: "wanna by" FFS you're grammar has already reduced to that of a VW owner. :icon_ford:

Holy crap it's happening already! Why can I not edit that post?!

I do hope the "you're" grammar was intentional of course...

So let me get this straight. You forked out $30k for a mid-size 1.4L VW base model, and you are getting excited about its 8.5 sec 0-100 time.

Yet for the same money you could have purchased a BF mk II xr6T fully optioned with low kays and had enough to get it tuned for economy, had power to satisfy, had room to actually travel with adults, comfort and to top it all off, you could have remained a member of this forum without any shame.

Yes the 1.4L will be fuel efficient, but not when you have to flog the thing around just to get it to move enough to make you smile.

Money will make you turn from everything you enjoy just so you can have a few more bucks in fuel money at the end of the week... Sounds like fun. I'm going to go trade my T in for a yaris... think of all the money I'll save in fuel, but spend elsewhere!

So what are you saying - we don't have anyone here with any real intelligence, that would be interested in such a fine piece of machinery...? stirthepot.gif

Or a near perfect F6 Rspec - some say its being 'given away'... (thx reg, and angel..)

@seduced: The BF will never in a million years make anywhere near the economy of the VW. Also if I wanted an older car I would have bought one. Reliability is very important for me, I can't afford to be effing around with broken down cars from time/effort/financial perspective.

I'm not saying the BF is guaranteed to break down but just making the point that clearly you are right in saying for $30k I could have basically bought anything I wanted.

I'm also going to save money because it is quite a bit cheaper to insure, and no longer requires 245/35/19 tyres at $500 a corner (my choice to spend that much but so be it).

Not sure if you're married mate but when you can save $5-6k a year (yes that's what I'm saving, trust me I'm an accountant I've done a spreadsheet!) that can buy you a family holiday each year.

The G6ET is a brilliant car, I'm not going to deny I'm going to miss it. 85% of my driving is highway driving, the other 15% usually has wife/kids in it so I rarely get to enjoy its power. Fact of life sadly. Great car, but I don't get to truly enjoy it.

Typical G6 owner, I could go on and on about them but I think this pic pretty much sums it up.
