Thanks Johnny.

I traded in my Territory for the G6E T and the Territory was practical however it certainly did not give me enjoyment in every day driving that this does. I cant get enough of this car.

Most people dont need an SUV but a lot of people are buying them. I think they forgot about the fun part of driving, I know I did. Thank god I woke up!!! :innocent:

To be honest, its not often that I can use all of the current capabilities of the car and I am never left feeling under powered so I reckon I will leave it standard for a while and I love the car as it is. :beerchug: Maybe this will change but at this stage, I think the car has enough power to keep me happy. I also think I will fry these expensive tyres with more power. :3gears:

What about you Tony, considering mods? How is your car going?

Hello Harry, happy to hear your enjoying your car. My car is awesome as well. I now look forward to driving my beast of a car and I am always looking for an excuse to jump in it.

Its due for its 3000 km service next week and there are some minor issues that I have pointed out to the dealer. These are, exaust outlet not straight, strange noise from rear of the car when I have used 50+ litres of fuel. Suspect its the fuel pump. It sounds like " mice in a blender " Sort of a knocking / whirring sound. Soon as I fill up, it disappears.

I guess I am getting used to the power a little now, dreaming of a cold air intake, either SS Inductions or Blue Power. I have started a new thread regarding this.

I have taken my car on a few outings in the hills and man, what a package! The power low down is awesome, between 2000 and 4000 rpm is ample to really move quick. It handles fantastic for my needs. Power and luxury. Only great things to say about this car.....however...I find that my car seems to wonder around the road a bit. Any sort of camber and the car will follow it. On the free way it goes dead straight. My dealer drove it and said its normal for a car with 18" rims to do this. My old 08 G6 didnt have this problem but it had 16" rims I think. Oh well, if that's the biggest problem with my G6ET, I am still a very happy man.

Love the colour ( Seduce ) It has really grown on me, thinking its better then Ego. Funny how my opinion has changed. Used to LOVE Ego but now Seduce has just edged ahead. Sill havent seen any more of your colour harry, Edge I think its called?

I have to be careful in 1st gear sometimes, if I put the boot in off the line, the needle races up the tacho and before I know it, 5000 rpm. OPPPS. Not a great way to look after my car. At the lights the other day I came up against a new Statesman. He was keen so when the light went green, we both put the boot in. After 2 seconds, I couldn't see him any more except in the mirror. Next set of lights, some thing happened. Expensive Daewoo drivers will never learn......

Also got the paint protection done when I bought the car. Have read heaps of reports of people saying it to be a waist of money. I have found it to good, washing the car is a breeze, most of the dirt washes of with the first rinse from my high pressure washer, no other car I have washed have I seen this. Its all good.

Hi Tony,

I agree with everything you have said about the joys of the car, its great to see that you are having a ball!!! :icon_ford:

I have the 19's on my car and find the same problem in terms of the car deciding to move a little on its own.

Yep, my favourite colour before I purchased mine was Ego and I was really disappointed when I heard it was discontinued. Then I found Edge and have been very happy with it. I get a lot of positive comments however most people wont tell you when they think the colour you chose is sh*t, but I find people carrying on a fair bit so it seems genuine. My brother and I particularly like how it changes character with the light conditions.

I also got the paint protection together with tints, interior protection and scratch insurance and found washing the car a breeze today. When I finished washing it, I walked around it numerous times then stood back and watched it for a while... I then realised that if the neighbours were watching, they would think I was a tosser so I scampered inside (just like the bloke in the commercial in his undies looking at his roof).

Seriously, this car takes up way too much of my thought space....I really didnt expect it to do this to me and made me realise how I had become very "disconnected" by driving a SUV for the last few years. :buttrock:

Its good to know I`m not alone (a sense of communality)...spend the last 6 yrs in VT commode...now I`m finding I`ll actually offer to drive people around...I can`t get enough. Just now starting to push it further.

I also had some warranty work done, and after reading about some bad experiences people have had with some dealers I was a bit concerned, but the Ford dealer (Newcastle) was very very good, even washed it for me, the whole experience was much better than expected, they went out of their way.

I also have some very minor rust (engine bay panel seams)no drama will be repaired under warranty.

Seriously considering taking up the (Ford) extended warranty, even though its a bit pricey. I think for me its gonna be worth it as my warranty ends in July 2011.
