I expect I will see a few of these soon but I am happy that it looks original... for a little while at least. Yep, I also tell people its a Fairmont Ghia that handles much better and is quicker than most HSV's. It would be good if we didnt have to explain what the car is... Ford, is anybody listening? Also I cant believe that the top of the range Falcon (FPV Excluded) does not have power passenger seats.... Grrrr!!!I took the car for a drive from Beverly hills to Wollongong via the national park and stanwell park... I had my family and kids in the car so I just went mildly quick but I gave the car some real squirts on the straight sections and it still amazes me. I came across a HSV on the way to Shell harbour... a few year old 297kw version. We had a sprint to the speed limit (80km) from the lights and when I stopped accelerating he was behind, I slowed down but he just kept going. I am sure that he didnt want to see the smile on my face!!! I then put my cardigan on and drove home like a nanny, my wife shaking her head at me being a child. I love this car!!! If only your Mrs knew what you got up to without the handbrake in the passenger seat

There were no screeching tyres or crazy stuff but it was still way quicker than I have been through there in anything else. The sound of the turbo whooshing is awesome, and overtaking was a breeze.... and by the time I got home, it has used less fuel when being pushed(15l/100km) than when cruising in my Territory (16.5l/100km). I might get some spotlights to shine it on the car in the driveway and sit out there all night watching it!!!

I certainly think that when people realise how good this car is, it's reputation on the "young hoon" market will ensure a long life of mods and thrashing!!! At least there will be a second hand market for our cars. In the meantime, I am having heaps of fun with it...kind of taking me back to my young hoon days.
