My husband picked up his XR6T yesterday - when it was very very wet and windy.

Other than learning how the drive a manual again (the previous cars we have had have been autos) he is very very happy with it - although he did forget he was in a manual and revved it to 7,000 - oops.

Spare ended up being a 17inch from the G6E instaed of the space saver - Ford just couldn't get us the matching mag - a little disappointed but not uch we can do - at least we don't have the speed limited spare.

When we picked it up, the dealer said ours was one of only two manuals that they had sold in the 5 dealerships tha make up the Canberra / Goulborn region - the other one was in Sunburst. So we are not likely to see another viper driving around here :)

I saw my first viper 50th sedan this week ,auto at the dealer in cairns. Viper seems to be very rare in Cairns, I have only seen 2 viper FG's here. The nitro is the most common in carins and when I say common I mean common. Seems the Avis and Herts, dont know that there are other colors available.

Good that you got some sort of compromise with the wheel.

Enjoy your ride, mine gets here next week! :roflmbo:

I was told by my tyre bloke they 'speed limit' the use of the steel spare only because its a different size and tread pattern and that any emergency manoeuvres or hard braking could be unpredictable. I'd then imagine its the same running 18's or 19's with a single 17'.

Exactly...mentioned that in the previous thread. As soon as you drive on it your DSC/TC will most likely disable as well. Good of the brainiac dealer to have his finger on the pulse.

Awesome looking ride :buttonit: Makes Phantom look a bit poo.
