We are getting done over big time as per usual. That is insane.Since CAPA did all the ground work the business of importing the SCT boxes is pretty sound, not much to go wrong, and now the switching off of the XCal1 has brought in even more revenue. Holy Jesus, I feel sick and angry about this. $400 is a good price to sell that thing here for, to the customer, they don't have to rape us. The idea I had was getting a x3 with 3000AU firmware and taking a "ghost image" of it. Then taking the firmware and installing it onto a locked x3 or america x3Until today when I started to dig further into this... I found a MAJOR problem.. I have seen the firmware of a standard x3 and have tried to decode it.. It is literally impossible in my book.. With time I reckon somebody could do it... It would just be a location within the script of a S/N. You would have to take an image of the locked x3 and find the s\n and insert into the script.. Same procedure would be for an american x3 as its still the same hardware elements.. Just different software.Again, this is just an idea I had... I dont even know what tuners do to look at the xcal. My thoughts would be just a quick plug in, test, set the required custom tune and plug-n-play? So a tuner wouldnt know the difference... Like I said.. I am just guessing...
