I would think you could. Same procedure really.

Just the tunes that come with the kit wont work..

You would have to get it tuned... Dont even think of connecting it up without a tuner tuning it first..

Anybody had any experience with these?

my uncle has a OBD II scan tool (one of the massive mechanics ones) and most cars on there when he was looking for my car were american.. dont see why it would be different if theres no tune on it

I remember reading in another thread that there is a limitation intentionally put in by SCT to stop us in Aus buying a cheaper US tuner and getting a tune done here. Protecting local sales.

how come? lol

quote: The Australian version is 3000AU

Every tuner in Australia purchases the devices through Herrod Motorsport, the 3000au cannot be purchased in the USA by anybody: end quote

this has been discussed elsewhere and this was the direct response from Herrod.

..... I still think there is a way man...

All you'd need is the firmware/edits etc from the 3000AU..

You would just format the x cal and install the new firmware..

I know alot of software that can edit and modify any software/firmware on the market..

Saying this.... it doesn't mean I can do it.. But if I had a chance, id give it a go.. :buttrock:
