I have a bf2 turbo & the front rotors need replacing soon so I was looking at my options. either replace rotors with dba 4000's or find a pbr/brembo kit cheap enough. it was going to be $500 for new rotors, $850 for 2nd hand typhoon pbr kit (f&r) or I would be happy with front brembos if I could find some cheap enough as rears would be ok.

had a search on ebay & saw 4-spot fronts off FG only 3000km's old for reasonable price & included everything.

raced home tonight, bid on them & ended up picking them up for $1100, im stoked.

won't be able to bolt them on straight away as I need to get 19's to suit brakes, but to good to pass by. now to find 19's to suit then bolt it all on and head for the track :buttrock:

you will also now need lowered springs to fit the new tires on!

And to be able to push all that extra weight you will need some more power on the car so you will have to get deka 60lb injectors and an internal fuel pump. To utilize those 2 though you will have to buy an X3 unit....and then you will need to take it all to a tuner to get it all sorted!

list can keep going :)

That's cheap hey

They won't bolt straight on as the fg is a trailing caliper and the bf is a leading caliper so you will need new brackets and maybe lines. Also as you are putting on backwards it means the small piston is in the opposite position To where it's supposed to be but for 1100 you can't go wrong hey

I have lowered springs here ready to go on & think I have rims sorted as my bro's mate wants to get rid of his bf tornado rims & I have a ba/bf hardlid that he wants so should work out ok. then look around & plan power mods when stuff comes up at a good price.

I knew there was some mods but I was told this about them from a brake place which is good- "You can fit the FG calipers and brackets to a BF2 if you like but for them to be as best possible set up as you can get you must swap over the crossover pipe and bleeder nipples and possibly swap them from left to right so the rotor passes the small piston first when rotating as the FG set up is designed to sit at the rear of the wheel instead of the front of the wheel like the BF"

Advice on the brakes is spot on...

You can use the brackets from the FG calipers, but they need to be reversed / swapped from side to side for the calipers to bolt up.

The crossover pipe also needs to be moved from where it is originally to the other side of the caliper.

I am using FG brembo 6 pots on the front of my BF ute and all is well!

Mmmm.....I thought 4 spots would fit under an 18" rim???? :bj:

I've got the FPV setup on mine and thought about going to 4 spot brembos if I could come across a set at the right price.

But if I've got to change wheels and tyres as well......stuff that....I'll just have to live with the FPV deal... :hohum:

the 4 & 6 pot Brembos will fit with the FPV 18" wheels, but only a very few aftermarket ones.

Yeah but will they fit with the factory 18" wheels in my avatar?
