Oil is comming from somewhere and no one can tell me whereThe first time I sent the car back they said oil must have been spilt over the side, the did a half assed job of degreasing it and gave it back and said if it leaks again give us a callThe second time they found a pcv valve from the manifold going in the rocker cover had blown and said that was the problemThen I had to get the zf pulled out and found that the rear main was leaking oil (this was then blamed on the pcv valve, so we replaced the rear mainNow there is still oil leaking, I change the oil every 5000k's as it goes black at 4500.when I pulled the filter off I got the phone up inside and took some photos and I have attached. To me it looks like it has oil leaking from the headwhats everyone else think?

Something that was fitted to the long motor. Also I think it's a ba block because it takes a ba oil filter... Or is it just that filter because its now a hi flow oil pump? everything else is bf mk2

Posted 10/10/10 10:02 AM Share Posted 10/10/10 10:02 AM it could be coming from the top of the timing cover and running back a long the head a bit.Where the timing cover meets the head I have seen it a bitIan
Adam Here since the start... Lifetime Members 10,282 Member For: 21y 8m 4d Gender: Male Location: Victoria Posted 10/10/10 10:11 AM Share Posted 10/10/10 10:11 AM You really need to wash it down, run it and then see where the oil is coming from.It looks like a decent oil leak, so it shouldn't be to hard to track down. It's hard to tell from the photos, but it doesn't appear to be higher than the head, so you may be able to rule out the rocker cover.Ian could be right about the timing cover. Oil leaking from there is a common fault.
Guest EGOXRT Guests Posted 10/10/10 10:46 AM Share Posted 10/10/10 10:46 AM Might be the turbo oil feed, the replacement banjo washers are a sh*t fit. Degrease the thing really well, you will see where it is coming from for sure, that is a savage oil leak.
