Everything your mate said would be recorded, and that's what it would be based on. I have a mate who is a copper, was doing 110 in a 60 in the middle of bumf*ck Idaho, copper cme up behind us with no radar, and knowing what to say saved me a huge fine and long period without a licence, I received a broken collarbone though.

Again, it all cmes down to what you say. Ask for proof straight away and deny deny deny. No proof equals no charge.

Ps u recommend not speeding at all.

Pps hows the ba going? Seems ages since you've been on

My old boy was talking on the phone, copper says you've been honest so I'll think about it. 3 weeks late. Fine arrived in mail. Welcome to Victoria.

Wow... you only have to say the magic words and you'll get out of it.. how good is that.. God bless Australia :beerchug:

My money is on a letter in the mail... you can always fight it in court..

mate of mine is a detective and he said that in all the speeding cases he has been in the judge has thrown it out if the police office has estimated the speed using a guess or even using his speedo in the car as a reference, one judge even asked the officer how often he was calibrated and how it was done, copper was speechless and the case was thrown out. I would definitely be fighting this one.

While I was being done for fog lights (1 demerit/$100) my mate drove by with his on, cop couldn't wave him down and told me "Don't worry I got that other guy's plates, he'll get one in the mail".

I didn't say I knew him. He never got it the lucky bastard :)

I did 160 in an 80 zone drag racing an SS ute (empty highway, except for the old cruiser behind us with 2 detectives in it....) They eventually caught up to me and pulled me over. Was warned very very sternly, but they knew they couldnt prove the speed I did, but they could have taken me for street racing under the hoon laws. Its just that I was remorseful and very polite that they let me off.... hoever they did take all of my details and mentioned that my plates will be known around for a while... I have obvious plates too. I did leave the SS ute waaaay behind! Last time I ever raced someone too. Won't be doing that again.

I wouldn't worry, unless its victoria, the fine isnt in the mail.

a few mates and I Went down to Tassie for a ride on our bikes rode from sydney and back, on the way thru canberra my mate decided to launch a massive mono at the last set of lights as you leave canberra, lo and behold an undercover federal copper was behind us at the lights, pulled him over and yelled at him for about 25 mins, took all his details (he only had one point left on his license) said he would be getting a fine in the post, never happened, it was the best mono of the trip too !!

So dont be too worried about this clown in the SS.
